Charles Stewart Parnell
Charles Stewart Parnell was founder of the Irish Parliamentary Paty and the first president of the Land League which was an organisation which reduced the restrictive practices of landlords. Having continuously fought for legislative independence for Ireland, by constitutional means, he has been referred to as the ‘uncrowned king of Ireland’ and a statue to him stands on of O’Connell Street, Dublin.
